Relaxing on a Saturday evening...

Hope everyone has enjoyed a nice Saturday. July has come to an end, and I am looking forward to August,
kids starting back to school (mine are grown), looking at all the cool school supplies in the stores, tax-free
shopping day, and the start of football season. This August I will add reading my book "Little Bee" and be glad to move closer to fall.

As the sun sets tonight, my husband is on the pc flying some bomber mission with his" flight sim", the dog and cat are resting on the floor keeping cool, and here I sit, thankful for a peaceful night. I hope the same for
you!

We made it to Thursday!

Good evening all! It is very exciting to see our 5 followers, plus a few others that are reading with us as
well. I am finishing up reading " The Catcher in the Rye". I have been wanting to read this book for quite some time. It is of course splendidly written and evokes a fascinating time and New York culture.

I thought I would share some information about the author of our book. As crazy as this sounds for those
that know me, when I heard such raving reviews of this book, I had no idea that it was set in the UK.
Nice surprise for me!

"Cleave was born in London in 1973, brought up in Cameroon and Buckinghamshire, and educated at Balliol College, Oxford where he studied Psychology. He lives in the United Kingdom with his wife and three children".

Thank you again for going through this journey with me. Hopefully we will all have a place to share our thoughts and enjoy each others company.

It is Wednesday evening...

Hello guys and girls, I am trying to keep cool as our AC system is not cooling as it should. Goodness, one
can get sort of cranky when they are a little too warm. The professionals will be out tomorrow, so fingers
crossed it might just need some freon.

Here it is:

Clue #2
The geography of this book spans around 2 continents.

Yes, short but important hint.
Everyone have a nice cool evening and a nice glass of iced tea for me!

Good Tuesday evening reading friends!

Hello on a nice warm Tuesday evening. Got to sit out on the patio a tiny bit tonight at dusk and
take a breath. Ok,, first of all, let me tell you MY BOOK came parcel in the mail today. I am so excited
about reading this book. I believe it will be memorable.

I know, I know.. the clue please..........

Clue # 3 (remember we are counting down)
This book was chosen by a large California city as their book of the month (sometime this last year).  Apparently this city has a
"book club" and it is very popular. They post it on their website and have dates and locations to discuss!
I love it! A great way to involve the citizens in the area for socializing and exploring different types of literature.

Signing off,
please have a relaxing evening and think of  pink marshmallows. Just a crazy thing I think of
that makes me happy!

Here is to a low-key Online Book Club with friends

After much thought, I decieded to start a very, very low-key online book club. There are many aspects to explore, such as choosing reading material, how we communicate, and price of books (hardback vs. paperbacks).

This is more of a therapeutic exercise for me, to continue my reading endeavors, keeping up
a blog and for the pure enjoyment of discussing with my friends.

There are no obligations for readers and I am no English teacher, with book reports due or
checking grammar.

Just stop by to enjoy, and please feel free to comment anytime.
I will announce the book for August, Friday July 23rd.

Thanks all and have a wonderful Sunday.
